Which Minnesotans are most likely to use ride-hailing services?
Higher-income Minnesotans are most likely to have used Uber or Lyft, but lower-income residents use them more often, a statewide probability survey finds.
Minnesotans with higher incomes and those with college degrees are especially likely to have used ride-hailing services like Uber or Lyft.
- 82% of Minnesotans with upper incomes have used a ride-hailing service
- 70% of Minnesotans with a college degree have done this
By contrast, these Minnesotans are the most likely to say they have not used a ride-hailing service:
- 69% of Minnesotans ages 65 or older
- 65% of those with a high school degree or less
- 62% of Greater Minnesota residents
- 59% of those with lower incomes
These findings come from a Minnesota Community Survey of 3,399 adults conducted from July 20 to Nov. 22, 2024.
