Which Minnesotans are most likely to use ride-hailing services?

Minnesotans with higher incomes and those with college degrees are especially likely to have used ride-hailing services like Uber or Lyft.

  • 82% of Minnesotans with upper incomes have used a ride-hailing service
  • 70% of Minnesotans with a college degree have done this

By contrast, these Minnesotans are the most likely to say they have not used a ride-hailing service: 

  • 69% of Minnesotans ages 65 or older
  • 65% of those with a high school degree or less
  • 62% of Greater Minnesota residents
  • 59% of those with lower incomes

These findings come from a Minnesota Community Survey of 3,399 adults conducted from July 20 to Nov. 22, 2024.
