No, we NEVER conduct surveys for political parties or candidates. We ask about politics and policy with fair and neutral questions. Our goal is to provide facts that everyone can trust. Lumaris is non-partisan.
Your answers are used by leaders in non-profit groups, government and business. They use your answers to make better decisions.
No, we will never try to sell you anything. We will also never sell your personal information to anyone.
On most surveys, we collect answers from thousands of people and summarize those answers. Only a handful of researchers at Lumaris will ever be able to know which person said what. We will never share your name or contact information without your permission.
Keeping your personal information private and secure is a top priority. Here's how we do that:
1. Any information you provide is stored on secure computers. Only a small number of researchers will have access to your answers.
2. We store your personally identifiable information (or PII) separate from your survey answers. This means people looking at your answers won't have your name, and people who have your name won't see your answers.
3. When we no longer need your personally identifying information, we permanently delete it.
4. We never make your personally identifiable information public. Sometimes, we publish or share anonymized datasets on our website or with clients. Anonymized datasets include the answers of everyone who took that survey but do not include any personally identifiable information. In other words, everyone's answers are anonymous in these datasets.
In addition, Lumaris researchers belong to the American Association of Public Opinion (AAPOR) and follow its Transparency Initiative. We follow AAPOR's Code of Ethics, which includes a code to protect the privacy of survey participants.
Sponsors of Lumaris surveys may include non-profit groups, government agencies, businesses and news outlets.
